For Many Years Vietnam Veterans Of America, Clermont County Chapter 649, has solicited membership for A.V.V.A. Members.
Many of the Chapter 649 Associate Members are wives of the Vietnam Era Veteran, while others are friends of the Veteran & his
family.

We attend the V.V.A. monthly meetings, assist with organizing Fundraisers, and are also chairpersons for some of the chapter fundraiser's, other A.V.V.A. members also have appointed positions to Chapter 649, such as Assistant to the Treasure, Monthly Newsletter Editor, Chaplin, and various other task to perform.

July 2009 Vietnam Veterans Of America held its National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
Among the delegates and members who attended this conference from Chapter 649 were also A.V.V.A. members attending with intentions to approach V.V.A. National Council asking permission to become a Stand-Alone Chapter of Associate Members within V.V.A. Chapter 649, . . . . ( Permission was Granted )

Chapter 649 currently has 31 Associate Members ( the largest associate membership within the 44 V.V.A. chapters in Ohio )
With permission given, A.V.V.A was granted permission to hold our own A.V.V.A. meetings,  elect our own officers,  
sponsor our own fundraisers, so that A.V.V.A. also may help Chapter 649 in remembering the Veterans from before
the vietnam era, and also after the vietnam era.
