21 Gun
Salute Tournament Supports Clermont Veterans Memorial Team
Members of the Clermont County Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) South West
Memorial Team received
a $2,000.00 check
from the Cincinnati Patriots Baseball Club during a meeting at the Clermont
County Veterans' Services Commission.
The Cincinnati Patriots Baseball Club is an organization of for baseball
players ages 9 through 18.
The memorial team performed during the 2009 Memorial Day weekend 21 Gun
Salute Baseball Tournament at Tealtown Park.
Many members of Chapter 649 attended the event and many veterans from
the community threw the ceremonial first pitches
for each game.
The veterans and kids had a great time interacting with each other and
there is great anticipation for this year's event.
Last year over 90 baseball teams participated in the three-day Memorial
Day weekend tournament which began with
a parade led by the memorial team.
With the great success of last year, there is already tremendous interest
for this year's event.
The 21 Gun Salute Tournament of 2010 will be held at Tealtown Ballpark
on Memorial Day weekend.
