name, DD214, and proof of paid dues to the nominating committee no later
than March 1, 2010.

Beyond
The Names
Beyond the Names is a book written by Gary Knepp about
39 men from Clermont County who died in Vietnam.
While researching for this book, the author remarks about the honor he
felt when meeting with family members and
discussing their loved ones.
The book also shows how many are still haunted by unanswered questions.
His book also includes some history of Clermont County and our own VVA
Chapter 649.
The price for the book is $22.50 and is available for purchase at these

January Guest Speaker

Our January speaker was Congresswoman
Jean Schmidt who shared her insight on veterans' issues
and answered questions from the meeting attendees.
It was a nice gesture of her to take the time from her busy schedule to
attend our meeting.
Special Thanks
We would like to thank Dexter Thornberry for his assistance
in providing the large screen for our meetings.
It is very helpful for viewing information during the meetings.
We also extend our thanks to Ben Joehnk for assisting the treasurer during
the monthly meetings.
